Abstract

A decorative cover for a woman's shoe comprises a flexible upper member 15 (Fig. 2, Figs. not shown) shaped to conform to the upper of the shoe, a flexible sole member 12 including a shank portion 13 and heel breast flap 14, and a heel cover member 20 secured to the upper member, member 15 being attached to the forepart and shank portions of the sole member leaving an opening for the heel of the shoe, and the cover being attached to the shoe at the foot opening, the heel, and the heel breast. The upper member is preferably formed of cotton, silk, or silk-like or leather-like fabric having two way stretch, and the lower margin 16 may be stuck to the sole member of thin calfskin. The attachment to the shoe is by pressure sensitive adhesive 27, 23, 18 which is protected prior to use by pull-away fabric or paper 28, 24, 19. Adhesive 27 is carried by a tape 26 attached to the upper member and notched at 29 to facilitate bending. The cover may be removed for re-use, the adhesive being covered during storage.
