Abstract

384,383. Fluid meters. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP MASCHINERIEEN-EN APPARATEN FABRIEKEN, Utrecht, Holland. Sept. 21, 1931, No. 26382. Convention date, Nov. 8, 1930. [Class 110 (ii).] In a gas or liquid metering apparatus of the kind in which inaccuracy of registration is prevented by providing a large meter 4 which operates the counting mechanism 5 when the fluid flow is large and a small meter 2 which operates the counting mechanism when the fluid flow is small, the small meter 2 is arranged in a conduit forming a byepass to a stop valve 6 in the main conduit operated by a loaded membrane 7 which is subjected on its lower side to the pressure in the main conduit and on its upper side to the pressure at a constriction or venturi 8 provided in the byepass before or after the meter 2. The stop valve 6 is opened or closed according to the pressure drop between the main conduit and the venturi 8.
