[Classes 79 (i), 79 (ii), 79 (iv), and 79 (v).] A tractor or vehicle in which all four wheels are driven and one axle can oscillate about a longitudinal driving shaft comprises a frame 16 provided with a fork 18 for the rear axle 7 and a fork 17 for the front axle 3, the latter fork being oscillatable about the driving shaft 24, and differential gears 13 on the axles which swivel with the axles about steering pivots 19 on the forks and are driven by the longitudinal shaft 24 through shafts 27 carried by the forks 17, 18, the front shaft 27 oscillating with the fork 17 about the shaft 24. In the construction shown the chassis frame 16 forms the bed-plate for the engine 23, and the fork 17 can oscillate on a frame bearing 22 concentric with the shaft 24. The engine may drive the shaft 24 through gearing 31 and this shaft drives the shafts 27 through gearing 25, the differential gears being driven from the shafts 27 through bevel gears 30 concentric with the steering pivots. Each axle comprises two tubular driving half-axles 3, 4 or 7, 8 secured by a bolt 9. The differential gears and the bevel gears 30 are carried by frames or casings 14 which swivel in the forks 17, 18 and are provided with bearings 15 for the axles. The front axle is steered by means of a shaft 35, screw-and-nut gearing 38 and a link 37, the rear axle being steered by a diagonal rod 32 connected to the front axle frame 14.
