Abstract
383,646. Heating air. TENNANT, W. J., 111, Hatton Garden, London.- (Gurney Foundry Co., Ltd. ; 4, Junction Road, Toronto, Canada.) June 9, 1931, No. 16785. [Class 64 (i).] In apparatus for heating buildings by hot air, a vertical conduit 1 is provided with inlet openings 4, 5, and outlet opening 2, and with superposed hot water pipes 8, having radiating ribs 9. A baffle 3 is connected from the upper pipe 8 to the wall of the conduit, so that the inflowing air is divided into two streams which do not unite until after passing the heaters. The heaters may be of the kind described in Specification 370,609, [Group XXII].
