[Class 26] [See also Groups X, XXIX, and XXXVI] A wall for buildings is built up of slab members, which are provided, prior to erection, with conduits for supplying fresh water to, and removing waste water from, the building, and are also equipped with devices (e.g. basins and valves) for using and controlling the water to be supplied or removed. The slab shown in Fig. 3 comprises an upper portion 31<1> and a lower portion 31<11>, which is equipped with a water supply pipe 32 and a waste pipe 33. Basins 34, 35 and cocks 36, 37 are fitted on the outer walls of the slab 31<11>. Traps 38, 39 are disposed in the waste pipes leading from the basins. The supply pipe 32 and waste pipe 33 are connected by unions 41, 43 to the respective main pipes 42, 44 disposed in a passage 45 in the foundation. A radiator 46 may be supported on one side of a slab as shown in Fig. 4 and connected with conduits 51, 52 for the heating medium. The other side of the slab is fitted with a basin 47, cold and hot water supply pipes 53, 54, and a waste pipe 55. The slab is strengthened by a corrugated stiffener 48. Individual slabs may be equipped with conduits for a variety of substances, such as gas and water. Where desired, the controlling or utilizing devices may be mounted within the slabs. The mains may be disposed in the ceiling instead of in the foundation.
