383,393. Oscillating motors. AKT.- GES. FœR SCHALTAPPARATE, 23, Gerbergasse, Berne, Switzerland. Oct. 29, 1931, No. 29987. Convention date, Nov. 5, 1930. [Class 35.] A motor having an armature of stamped parts oscillating between the pole-pieces of a permanent magnet is excited by induction by stationary coils fed by alternating current which produce a field which is perpendicular to the permanent-magnet field. In the form shown, the armature which has pole-pieces 6 oscillates between pole-pieces 11 of the permanent-magnet 10 and is energized by the coils 13 on the stationary core 12 which is constructed of soft sheet iron. The armature is returned by the adjustable spring 9 attached to its hub, the oscillations of which spring correspond to the frequency of the current. A lever 18 carrying a pawl is fixed on the motor shaft 4 and produces a unidirectional movement of the ratchet wheel 15<1> and pinion 15 which are loosely mounted on the motor shaft.
