Abstract

In a process of manufacturing fertilizers having a base of ammonium magnesium phosphate, burnt plaster (calcined natural calcium sulphate) either alone or in admixture with hydrated calcium sulphate or with other dry or moist products acting as fertilizers is added to precipitated and moist ammonium magnesium phosphate to obtain a dry product which is afterwards pulverized to the desired degree. Potassium is preferably added in the form of the sulphate whereby a mixture of potassium sulphate and calcium sulphate is obtained which is about four times less soluble than potassium sulphate.
