Abstract
<PICT:0381631/III/1> Electrical precipitation apparatus consists of a nest of treating passages, containing discharge electrodes 3, which is surrounded by an outer casing 4 having at or near one end a gas inlet 6 and a perforated diaphragm 7 extending across the casing, and at or near its other end a second perforated diaphragm 8 through which the gases, after flowing substantially the whole length of the casing, pass into the treater passages. The lower end of the casing is coned and provided with an outlet 5 for the deposited material. The nest of treater passages may be constructed in the manner described in Specification 380,890.
