Gas exits.-A gas exit comprising concentric tubes is provided with a cup-like member F covering the opening in the outermost tube and serving to prevent the passage of spray and to retain liquid to form a trap or seal. The inner tubes are formed with slotted openings A<3> and may be provided with baffles which may be similar to the trap F. Holes A<5> may be formed in the upper ends of alternate tubes. The tubes may be made of steel and are connected together by welded rings C, the inner one having a threaded stem which screws into a lug D. Celluloid may also be used for the tubes, in which case they are cemented together.
