Abstract

Cells.-An accumulator divided into two compartments 10, 11 by a partition 9 extending partly across the cell, is provided with wicks 15 or capillary tubes 14 or with both in order to cause any liquid trapped in the compartment 11 to syphon back into the main compartment 10. In a modification, the tube 14 passes diagonally under the plates 6, vertically up the end wall 13 of the compartment 10 and communicates with the compartment 11 through an opening in the partition 9.
