Abstract
381,442. Turbine rotors. MEINING- HAUS, U., 4, Margarethenplatz, Mulheim, Ruhr, Germany. Feb. 10, 1932, No. 3999. [Class 110 (iii).] A turbine motor is constructed of several concentrically arranged discs whose axial dimensions are greater than their radial dimensions. In the form shown in Fig. 1 separate discs 1 .. 8 have claw - shaped ends to secure cohesion between the discs. Fig. 2 shows another arrangement. The inner element 20 is of a radial thickness and axial length to secure an angle of distortion under load at the root 25 the same as the angle of distortion of the adjacent annular disc 21. The invention is stated to be suitable for radial flow turbines.
