Abstract

381,257. Indiarubber boots &c. DUNKER, H. C. L., 1, TegnÚrsgatan, Helsingborg, Sweden. July 18, 1931, No. 20628. [Classes 70 and 87 (ii).] A device for moulding rubber footwear comprises a sole mould g, side moulds h, and a last having a solid sole surface c and perforated sides b. The sole of the article is thus positively moulded between the parts c, g, while the moulding of the uppers is completed by fluid pressure applied to the interior of the last and forcing the uppers into contact with the side moulds h. To prevent escape of the pressure fluid a projecting rib k on the side moulds bears against a resilient ring l on the last. In an alternative form of the apparatus an expansible cover is fitted over the perforated sides of the last.
