Abstract

380,626. Sheetdelivery apparatus. DAWSON, PAYNE, and ELLIOTT, Ltd. and STOTT, E., Atlas Works, Otley, Yorkshire. Oct. 16, 1931, No. 28731. [Class 100 (i).] In sheet-delivery apparatus for stop-cylinder printing machines, as described in Specification 29258*/10, [Class 100 (i), Feeding and delivering webs &c.], in which grippers 2 take the sheets from the impression cylinder 1 and deposit them on flexible platforms 3 carried by endless chains, each sheet 4 when stripped off its platform 3 by fingers 5 falls on to an endless conveyer band 6 which is operated intermittently so as to forward the sheets to the delivery pile 9 clear of the delivery apparatus, thus facilitating interleaving. The conveyer drive may be imparted to either of its guide rollers 7, 8 and the speed is sufficient to shoot the sheets 4 forward on to the pile 9.
