Abstract

378,368. Vehicle bodies. ROHR, G., 8, Jaminstrasse, Cronberg, Taunus, Germany. April 29, 1932, No. 12406. Convention date, May 15, 1931. [Class 108 (i).] In vehicles in which the body posts are secured directly to the chassis longitudinals and in which both the post members and the chassis members are of box section the inner wall 2i of each post 2 is secured to the upper wall 1o of the chassis beam 1 near the inner edge by rivets &c. and the outer wall 2a of the post is secured to the outer wall 1a of the chassis beam 1 at the lower edge thereof. The post which is of box section throughout splays to a larger section to embrace the chassis beam 1 and is provided with flanges 2c, 2d, 2e. The beam 1 is preferably of the shape shown with projecting flanges 5, 6.
