Abstract

[Class 40 (v).] In an ultra short wave oscillator in which the grid is maintained at a high positive potential, the anode is maintained at a potential negative with respect to the cathode solely by the utilization of a current set up in a resistance R connected between the anode and cathode. The resistance may be variable to vary the frequency of the generated oscillations. The potential to the grid may be applied between the grid and anode instead of as shown and the aerial system may be connected to the anode or to the grid or separate aerials may be used, one connected to each of these electrodes; The resistance R may be shunted by a condenser or chokes may be inserted in series with the high tension supply leads.
