Abstract

376,830. Driving-belts. MATSUMOTO, S., 28, Ichome, Kobinatadaimachi, Koishikawa-Ku, Tokio. April 17, 1931, No. 11438. [Class 80 (i).] Relates to a linked driving-belt of the kind described in Specification 235,616, [Class 80 (i), Gearing, Belt &c.], in which links carrying friction blocks are interconnected by U-shaped pins inserted alternately from opposite sides of the belt and rocking one upon the other. The links 10, Figs. 3 and 4, carry, upon projections 16, friction segments 17, which are held laterally in position by side-plates 20. Through holes 15, 18 in the links are inserted U-shaped pins 13 with legs 6, 7, pairs of legs 6 rocking together on surfaces S, S<1>, Fig. 5, of small radius, their faces G, Q fitting securely against edges 8, 9 of the holes 15. The legs 7 have bent ends 11, or carry nuts, which serve to maintain the side-plates 20 in position.
