Abstract

376,488. Hinges. RADIATION, Ltd., Thimble Mill Lane, Aston, Birmingham, and YATES, J. H., 15, Grosvenor Place. London. July 1, 1931, No. 18975. [Class 65 (ii).] In a hinge for an oven door, having an eccentric pin associated with a rotatable part which is arranged to be adjustable to shift the axis of the pin and ensure accurate closing of the door, the pin is arranged eccentrically on a screw-threaded member rotatably carried in the bracket supporting the pin, and means are pro. vided to secure the member. As shown in the Figure, the bracket b fixed to the oven front has a screw-threaded hole in which a plug d engages ; the pin a, which engages a socket g on the door, is carried eccentrically on the plug d. The plug d is slotted to receive a tool by which it may be turned from below, and has a screw-threaded hole to receive a screw h by which it is expanded to grip the hole in the bracket b and is thus fixed in any position. Any convenient means may be provided to fix the plug after adjustment.
