Abstract

285,795. Fitzner, P. May 16, 1927, [Convention date]. [The subject-matter of this Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Feb. 21, 1928]. Desk and table sets; supporting. -An automatic telephone instrument 1 is supported on a thin sheetmetal plate 2 which is rotatably mounted on a thicker metal base plate 4 by means of a screw or centring pin 3 and ball-bearing 5. A stop 6 on the plate 4, which engages with stops 7, 8 on the plate 2, limits the rotation of the plate 2 to an angle of about 270‹. The plate 2 is provided at the corners with upstanding projections or claws 9 adapted to engaga the base of the instrument 1 and with integrally formed handles 12. The projections 9 are preferably made adjustable by screw and slot arrangements 10, 11, in order to enable the device to be used with instruments of different sizes. The front two claws 9 are also preferably made in two parts, the upper part 9a, which forms the claw proper, being guided on the under part by means of a screw 14 passing through a slot 13 in the latter.
