May 14, 1931, No. 14332. Convention date, May 15, 1930. [Class 108 (ii).] In suspension devices for independent wheels in which each wheel is carried independently at the end of a lever 2 pivoted to the frame, the lever extends outwardly and angularly from its transverse pivotal support 1, and a spring mounted on a fixed part of the chassis acts on the lever solely at a point situated between the pivotal axis of the lever and the axis of the wheel. The spring may act at the point B carried directly by the lever or at the point C on a member 2b rigid with the lever. The wheel may be carried by a steering knuckle at the end of the lever 2.
