471,769. Vehicle wheels and axle arrangements. BROCKHOUSE & CO., Ltd., J., and DEAR, A. T. C. April 25, 1936, No. 11787. [Class 108 (ii)] A detachable wheel assembly is constructed so that it may be applied to any one of a number of vehicles, some of which may have a torsion spring suspension while others may be provided with a rigid axle supported directly or by. laminated springs from the frame. The wheel assembly comprises a stub axle 17 provided with a flange 18 and spigot 19, while the end of the axle 11 supported by a spring 14, or the end of a torsion arm 28, is also provided with a flange 15 and socket 16. Bolts 21 are provided for securing the parts together. The vehicles to which the construction applies may be the trailers, described in Specifications 469,134 and 471,740. Specification 433.94H also is referred to.
