[Class 108 (ii).] The frame is composed of two parts. a<1>, a<2> connected by a direct hinge joint c and interposed springing b, the ends being spring mounted on the wheel axles. One part a<1> is extended forwardly or rearwardly to carry the vehicle body. The axle mountings may comprise flat springs d<1>, Fig. 1, springs between pivoted arms d<3> and the frame-parts, Fig. 3, or coiled springs arranged above and below the axles.
