415,923. Motor-vehicle stub axles. TUGWOOD, R. J., 77, Chancery Lane, London.-(Gerardi Engineering Corporation; 95, Liberty Street, New York, U.S.A.) Dec. 4, 1933, No. 34067. [Class 79 (v).] A vehicle suspension includes an axle 10 secured to the vehicle frame, and having at its ends guiding supports 13 for members 14 carrying a stub axle 15 and provided with members 18 articulated thereto and connected to a transversely-disposed laminated spring 19 by a link 21 inclined inwardly so as to urge the member 14 inwardly to offset the reaction on the member 13 caused by the stub axle 15. The axle ends 13 are preferably bent rearwardly of the central portion and are inclined as shown in Fig. 2, the suspension spring also being inclined so as to lie in the plane through the supports.
