Abstract

375,709. Roller bearings. SKERRETT, H. N., 24, Temple Row, Birmingham.- (Timken Roller Bearing Co. ; Denber Avenue, Canton, Ohio, U.S.A.) Dec. 24, 1931, No. 35626. [Class 12 (i).] The conical rollers 3 having an end face abutting a thrust flange 14 on the inner race 2 of a bearing are spaced by a cage comprising two conical rings 6, 9, each having apertures to receive the rollers. The larger end of the inner ring 9 is bent outwardly into close proximity to the larger end portion 7 of the ring 6 to clear the shoulder 14. As shown the small end portion 11 of the inner ring 9 abuts an inturned flange 13 on the ring 6.
