411,791. Antifriction bearing-cages. BRITISH TIMKEN, Ltd., and ELLIS, L. M., Cheston Road, Aston, Birmingham. Feb. 12, 1934, No. 4540. [Class 12 (i).] A cage for ball or roller thrust bearings comprises two rings 5, 6 with flanges 8, 9 at their outer edges, arranged face to face so that the flanges project in opposite directions and one of them 9 engages one of the races 2, 3 so as to maintain the rings centrally or substantially centrally with respect to the balls or rollers. The rings have aligned apertures for the balls or rollers and may be secured together by welding. A wear ring 12 of antifriction metal or hardened steel may be fitted inside the casing 4. Forms with balls and conical rollers are also shown in the Specification.
