Abstract
373,073. Hopper feeding and opening machines. RUSHTON, J. L., Kay Street Works, and SCHOFIELD, C., 63, Knowsley Road, Smithills, both in Bolton. Dec. 4, 1931, No. 33618. Addition to 365,752. [Class 120 (i).] In machines as set forth in the parent Specification, the guide and feed plates are formed by a single element 9 .. 12 pivotally mounted at 13 so that it can be set, as shown in full lines, to deflect the material delivered from the lattice 1 to the feed roller 8 to undergo the supplementary combing by the lattice 7, or, as shown in dotted lines, to pass the material direct to the lattice 7. The long faces 9, 10 serve as guide plates and the short faces 11, 12 as feed plates. The under casing 15 is pivoted to allow access to the roller 8.
