Abstract

255,124. Seymour, G. Jan. 19, 1925. Scutching-apparatus.- In decorticators of the kind comprising a drum fitted with a series of knives co-operating with a fixed bed plate, the usual bed plate is replaced by a bar arranged in an inclined or helical manner on the open framing. The drum 2 may be supported by bearers 3 from the side members 1 of a vehicle. The inclined fixed bars 6 are adjustably mounted at 9 in the open frame 7. The material is fed from conveyers at 10.
