Abstract

372,825. Bearing supports. ELECTRIC AUTO-LITE CO., Champlain Street, Toledo, Ohio, U.S.A. Feb. 13, 1931, No. 4619. Convention date, July, 23, 1930. [Class 12 (i).] An end cover for a dynamo-electric machine comprises a plate 13 having a central opening therein with recesses formed at its edge to give it an uneven contour, and a sleeve 12 having a portion of its contour complementary to that of the opening of the plate and having projections 23, 28 for securing the two parts together. The projections 28 are formed by swaging the portions 27, Fig. 5, which alternate with the projections 23. The sleeve 12 contains a ball bearing or a plain bearing, in which case a lubricating duct communicating with a lubricator on the casing is fitted to the endplate.
