Abstract

372,651. Sighting levels. HAMBACH. P., Hirzenhain, Upper Hessia, and RUDOLPH J., 95, Flottbeker, Chaussee, Altona, Elbe, both in Germany. Aug. 24. 1931, No. 23786. Convention date, Aug. 25, 1930. [Class 97 (ii).] An instrument in the form of a carpenter's level is provided with a longitudinal bore for aiming, a mirror mounted opposite a bubble level, and an aiming thread arranged transversely between the mirror and the level, the latter being adapted to move aside so that the mirror becomes free for use in setting out right-angles. In the form shown in the Figure, e is the sighting aperture, f the mirror, g the aiming thread, and b the level which is hinged to the body part a so that it can swing aside. A rotatable level and a further level perpendicular to the level b may be mounted on the body part a.
