Abstract

372,032. Packing cigarettes & c . UNIVERSELLE CIGARETTENMASCHINENFABRIK J. C. MœLLER & CO., 48, Zwickauerstrasse, Dresden, Germany. March 17, 1931, No. 8187. Convention date, April 15, 1930. [Classes 18 and 94 (i).] Cigarettes &c. are packed in a foldable box, formed from the blank shown in Fig. 1 cut along the dotdash lines c, the box being folded as in Fig. 2, the inwardly projecting flaps e being braced, while the box is packed, by a support i situated in or movable into the line of movement of the partly folded box in the packing machine. Alternatively, the flaps e may be joined, to form a rigid wall, by a strip of material adhered to the outer sides of the flaps and applied by any suitable mechanism in the machine before or at the packing position. The lid is then closed, the portion b constituting the hinge.
