Abstract

359,088. Packing cigarettes in boxes. MOLINS, W. E., CHALMERS, J. W., and MOLINS MACHINE CO., Ltd., 2, Evelyn Street, Deptford, London. Aug. 2, 1930, No. 23336. [Classes 18 and 94 (i).] Cigarettes are arranged in two side by side batches 3, Fig. 2, in a box with a hinged lid and are provided with a strip of foil 1 beneath the batches with an upwardly extending portion 2, which may be a fold in the foil, between the ends of the batches ; the ends 4 of the foil being wrapped over the outer ends of the cigarettes. A second or outer wrapper of foil may be employed having a front portion 6, Fig. 3, which overlap the cigarettes to a slight extent and a flap 7 which completely covers and conceals the cigarettes.
