Abstract

477,651. Hinges. ST. ANDREW MILLS, Ltd., and KENT, R. K. Nov. 21, 1936, No. 31942. [Class 65 (ii)] [Also in Group XVII] A cardboard &c. box or container, e.g. for' cigarettes, is made from two or more blanks shaped as in Fig. 1, flaps d, e being secured together to constitute the body and flaps h being tucked in to secure the ends. In order that the container may be readily separated into a number of containers, extensions j, k, Figs. 1 and 5, are arranged to slip into the slits left between the walls a, band the ends g of adjacent containers ; the top and bottom containers may have one of the flaps j, y omitted. Flaps j, k may be lightly secured by adhesive so that they remain separable. The complete set of containers may be encircled by a paper sealing band or enveloped in a wrapper.
