[Class 135.] Casings; protecting covers.-A screw-down lift valve for domestic use comprises a metal assembly of valve, valve spindle j, tapered body b, and cap a, all enclosed in a previously moulded covering c, k, n made of any of the phenolformaldehyde products or other similar resinous material. The outlet spout d is formed integrally with the part c covering the tapered body b and is curved to the arc of a circle so that the moulding core can be easily removed ; for this purpose its innermost diameter, at h, is smaller than that at the outlet g. The body part c is prevented from rotating by a key e entering a notch f, and is secured in position by the cover k which screws on to the metal flange of the cap a. The knob n is secured on the spindle j by a screw as shown, and extends into the cover k.
