[Class 27.] Money boxes or receivers.-The coin receptacle A, Fig. 4, of a prepayment gas meter is disposed at the side of the body B, Fig. 3, of the meter and is detachably connected thereto by two hook members C engaging in openings D<1> near the front edge of a plate D attached to that side. This arrangement constitutes a hinge about which the receptacle A can be turned to a limited extent. The receptacle is also provided with a downwardly projecting rib F to engage a channel formed as shown by turning up the lower edge of the plate D. An extension F<1> of the rib forms a stop to engage the outer end of the channel. The rear outer corner of the prepayment mechanism compartment K may be formed with a dependant part L to engage with the rear outer upper corner of the receptacle. The receptacle is locked by an upward slotted extension of its front fitting over the same fixed stud as the cover of the prepayment mechanism, the receptacle and cover being secured by a padlock passed through a hole in the stud.
