[Class 20 (ii).] Walls are cast in situ course by course by means of moulding apparatus adapted to be lifted on a standard and rotated horizontally to allow of the casting of consecutive portions. A standard 3 is mounted in ball or roller bearings at its ends and is stayed in any vertical position. A bracket 15 is slidably mounted on the standard and carries a framework 32, projecting on both sides of the standard, for the shuttering, and worm and pulley gearing in a box frame 16 whereby the bracket and framework may be raised after each casting operation. Shutters 40 are hinged to the framework to form a partition mould 41 and transverse shutters 59, 71, 60 are also carried on the framework for casting the wall sections. The framework also carries a support 37 bearing a hopper and shoot 87, 88, and a trough 38 and these are counterbalanced bv a water tank 35 carried on the other end of the framework. The trough 38 is formed of removable sections so that concrete may be fed to the transverse moulds or to any part of the partition mould, this trough being supplied from an elevator 95. The transverse moulds may be stopped off by either hinged or sliding stop plates, and after the casting operation, the side plates are raised and the moulds rotated to cast another section. After each course has been cast, the moulds are raised and positioned by a movable stop 99 on the standard. The side moulds are retained in casting position by means of adjustable stays 44, Fig. 6, and scaffold supports 48 are provided for the workmen. The section moulds may be of partly polygonal shape for casting walls other than circular.
