Abstract
254,009. Burditt, T. H. F. March 25. 1925. Moulds for casting walls. partitions, floors. roofs &c. in a horizontal position comprise a base in the face of the structure and side members in the form of channel irons &c. adapted to have reinforcing-members attached thereto under tension and to be removed from the mould with the cast structure and serve for the attachment of lifting and transporting tackle. A wall mould is shown comprising a base b supported by a frame c between which and the base may be disposed adjusting and levelling means. The mould sides comprise channel irons g, bolted to brackets a extending from the base, which are apertured to receive the hooks of lifting-tackle and carry hooked bolts k<1> for the reinforcing-member k. The upper flanges of the sides g serve as a guide for a screed and may support additional mould members m. Bolts n secure the sides g to the cast structure. In use, after the structure has been cast, bolts h securing the sides g to the brackets a are unscrewed and the structure transported within the sides, to position and erected, after which the sides are removed from the bolts n. Movable side walls or banks may be employed in place of the brackets a such banks being adapted to be connected to the channel irons g and to each other at their adjacent ends. According to the Provisional Specification the mould banks are secured at adjacent ends to pins and notches secured by spring detents or tapered pins.
