Casting floors in situ.- Floor moulds consist of semipermanent ceiling - carrying members, including posts, and temporary ceiling-carrying members, which are removed before the concrete of the floor has completely set, and adjustable lever means are provided for vertically adjusting the temporary ceiling members with respect to the other members. Between each pair of posts 1 is fitted a U- beam 2, which constitutes one of the semi-permanent members and fits the upper ends of the posts and is tied thereto by wires 7 threaded through holes 5 in flanges 6. The ends of the beam are reinforced by Z-shaped plates 3 welded within the channel, as indicated in Fig. 1. For supporting the members 11, a plurality of slots 9 is formed in the sides of the U-beam 2. The member 11 is preferably constructed in two parts, longitudinally adjustable with respect to each other, whereby the length of the member may be varied. The two parts 11<1>, 11<2> are adapted tc be connected by bolts 22, 23 each extending through its respective member and arranged to engage in a corresponding hole 21 in the other member. Adjustability is secured by the provision of a plurality of holes 21. The levers 12, which are pivoted by bolts 13 to each end of the member 11, are adapted to engage in the slots 9 of the U-beams 2 by means of a hook 15<1>, and further securing means may be provided in the form of a locking wire 17, Fig. 2, engaging a hole 16 in the lever 12. The levers 12 may be adjusted longitudinally by making the hole 14, which receives the bolt 13, of elongated form. The mould facing applied to the members 11 may be of metal or built-up wood panels 32. The level of the mould members is adapted to be adjusted by moving the operating ends of the levers 12 and securing them in position by wires 19 passing over the top of the members 11 and engaging holes 18 in the levers.
