Abstract
231,644. Cudmore, A. E. March 4, 1924. Moulding walls in situ.-Walls are cast on a platform normally horizontal which can be swung up so as to position the set wall on to the foundation and be then withdrawn leaving the wall in position. The shuttering 7 is supported by swinging frames 6, each of which is carried by a fixed framework 1 to which the frames are connected by swinging levers 15. The back member 3 of each fixed framework is formed as a U-bar opening upwards, in the lower part of which is a joint 13 which is adapted to operate a lever 11 pivoted to the swinging frame to cause the frame to swing about the lower end of the lever 15. Each swinging frame is provided with a removable foot portion 9 which supports the wall during the swinging movement and from which the platform may be then detached and withdrawn prior to its being swung back to its original horizontal position by ropes 25, 26 operated by rotating drums in the frame. These feet may be subsequently removed from the cast wall and the openings filled. Each swinging frame has pivoted to its rear end a platform 28 connected by a lever 31 to the fixed frame, so that as the swinging frame is erected the platform 26 remains horizontal and' may operate as a hoist for material.
