Abstract

261.895. Robinson. F. W. L. Oct. 21, 1925. Moulds; templets - A portable machine for moulding bricks, blocks, &c. in situ comprises a bottomless compartmented mould slidably mounted within a wheeled frame having its long sides connected by a central bridge-piece carrying screw or lever mechanism for raising or lowering a bridge-piece connecting the longer sides of the mould. As shown, a mould frame o. slides vertically within a frame supported on wheels d, the sides c of the frame being connected by a bridge e supporting screw mechanism g, Fig. 1, or lever mechanism r, Fig. 4, connected to a bridge i, connecting the longer sides of the mould. Partitions b subdivide the mould. In operation, the mould is transported on the frame to the desired position, lowered on to the floor, and the compartments are filled with clay, concrete &c. which is pressed and levelled by devices m fitted with rollers n and scrapers o. After moulding, the mould is raised leaving the bricks &c. on the floor. By inserting a board &c. a second course of bricks &c. may be formed
