Abstract

1. Apparatus for producing sanitary ceramic products, in particular wash basins, water closet basins, bidets, shelves, pedestals or the like, by means of moulds made of waterabsorbing material, preferably plaster of Paris, and each consisting of two mould parts (1, 2 ; 14, 15) which have a vertical spacing and which are laid adjacent to each other on a casting bench (4) and can be held together in a sealed manner in pairs, and can be connected for bottom filling purposes to a slip container by means of a casting material conduit (10) which can be shut off, characterized in that each mould part (1, 2 ; 14, 15) comprises below its hollow compartment (5) an approximately horizontally extending through opening (8 ; 8a) which is formed between the vertical end surfaces of the mould part and is connected to the hollow compartment (5) by a communication channel (11 ; 11a) and which when the moulds are pushed together becomes connected in a sealed manner both to the opening (8 ; 8a) in the other mould part (2, 1 ; 15, 14) pertaining to the respective mould, and also to the opening (8 ; 8a) in the adjoining mould part (2, 1 ; 15, 14) of the neighbouring mould, to form a casting material conduit.
