Abstract

367,546. Constructional ironwork. TREILLET, H., 26, Rue Friant, Paris. Feb. 9, 1931, No. 3987. [Class 20 (ii).] A constructional unit framework for use in constructing girders, rooftrussings, and the like is formed with a pair of short parallel sides and a pair of long sides arranged non-parallel as in a trapezoid, the sides being connected by cross beams and diagonals the edges of which are upturned to form stiffeners and which are of larger section at their centres so that the material is uniformly stressed throughout. The unit may be built up of section bars 1, 1<1>, Fig. 1, or may be stamped out of a sheet-metal blank 2, Fig. 3. The units are joined together end to end to form girders a and supporting columns b, as shown in Fig. 5.
