Abstract
366,322. Laminated springs. PORTER, H. W., 78, Ringinglow Road, STANFIELD, G. and GREEN, H., Norfolk Works, both in Sheffield. March 12, 1931, No. 7665. [Class 108 (iii).] Members c, d having a slot a opening e for accommodating, t a n - gentially, that part of a spring leaf a approaching the eye b of a laminated spring are applied to the spring eye and have axial holes forthe shackle pin or bush f. The members may be a force fit on the eye, or may be secured by pegging, riveting, setscrews, &c., and they may extend along the length of the eye in which case a lug and slot engagement k, Fig. 11 (Prov.), may prevent relative rotation of the members. The members may be made of metal, such as mild steel, high tensile alloy steel, or hardened and tempered spring steel.
