Abstract
365,783. Supply-fittings for waterwaste-preventers. SIMPSON, R. H., 26, Jackson Street, Sunderland. Jan. 21, 1931, No. 1989. [Class 26.] In filling apparatus for waterwaste preventers, in which the float d is disposed within a compartment f inside the cistern a, a siphon j serves both for filling and discharging the compartment, the bend thereof being arranged below the liquid level g in the cistern when full, and also below the level of the rim of the compartment f. The float d may be arranged to close the inlet valve before the liquid in the compartment f reaches the level of the liquid in the cistern, and the outlet of the siphon may be reduced or partially closed to prevent a sudden inrush of air.
