Abstract

364,287. Body-supports for use in baths &c. LAYLAND, L. E., 135, Hammersmith Road, West Kensington, London. Dec. 2, 1930, No. 36340. [Class 26.] In a device for supporting the body in a bath, &c., the supporting members for the seat, shoulders and head are mounted upon a rubber sheet attached to t h e inner surface of the bath &c. so as to be capable of longitudinal adjustment in relation to one another. The sheet 5 is attached to the bath &c. by suckers 6, and carries, by an integral or flexible connection, a pillow 7, which may be provided with a flap having suction members, the position of the pillow being adjusted by folding the sheet. The seat recess 1 is combined with a support 4 and a preferably semicircular member 3 which is partially of rubber and partially inflated or filled with water. The shoulder support is constituted by an inflated or rubber pillow 9 attached to the mat in any desired position by suckers.
