Abstract

462,179. Securing cushions in position. CORBER, F. H., and WARDMAN, C. B. Sept. 3, 1935, No. 24541. [Class 52 (iv)] A cushion device for application to a seat back comprises a sheet of flexible material 4 having a pocket 5 formed at its upper end to engage the top of the seat back, and a pneumatic cushion 7 attached to the sheet 4 to support the back of the user. The cushion 7 may be inserted at the ends in pockets 6 on the sheet 4. The sheet 4 may be of such length as to cover the seat, and a further air-cushion may be provided on the extended part to support the thighs ; it may be a single sheet or may be double and padded with flock, sponge rubber, &c., or it may be itself inflatable.
