Abstract

220,337. Davis, E. Feb. 20, 1923. Spring hinges; securing flaps in a given relative position.-A table or rest for use by persons sitting or reclining comprises a table top or equivalent, leg members attached thereto, and a flexible band or bands strung between the legs so as approximately to fit the form of the user on which the device is to rest. The leg members may be hinged to collapse against the table top. Spring hinges preferably provided to locate the leg members in position may comprise a spring leaf 7 attached to the base of a bracket 6 attached to the table top, the leaf bearing against a flat 8 formed on the exterior of an eye 4 in the leg 3, which turns on a pin 5 in the bracket. The points of attachment of the legs may be adjustable.
