450,839. Chairs. FORD, E. J., 42, St. Peter's Road, Southall, Middlesex. Jan. 18, 1935, No. 1727. [Class 52 (ii)] A chair or seat back comprises two parts a, c telescopically fitted. As shown, the diameter of the upper part is the larger. Inside the tube a is a stop i to which a plunger b is fixed ; this rests on a spring d, the lower end of which abuts a stop h in the tube c. The upholstery is fixed to a cross-bar e and to a sheet of wood or metal attached to a rail j, which can be adjusted in position. The elbow pieces g also are adjustable. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to U.S.A. Specification 1,821,417.
