Abstract
363,232. Loom warp stop motions. WHITE & SONS, Ltd., W. B. and WHITE, W. P., Red Scar Loom Works, Colne, Lancashire. Feb. 25, 1931, No. 5872. [Class 142 (i).] When a warp thread breaks, the corresponding detector falls and stops the reciprocation of slide bars which are operated by an arm f<3> linked to a rod a<2> oscillated negatively from a crank or eccentric through a give-way spring e<4>. The rod a<2> is thereby stopped in a position in which an arm a<1> thereon carries a projection b on a knuckle-jointed extension A into the path of a projection b<1> on the lay, a second projection c on the part A being thus moved into the path of the weft fork lever or of the starting handle D to stop the loom.
