Abstract
361,940. Belt gearing. FRANZ CLOUTH RHEINISCHE GUMMIWARENFABRIK AKT.-GES., 102, Niehlerstrasse, Nippes, Cologne, and ISBEG INDUSTRIEUND SCHIFFSBEDARF GES., 40, Linkstrasse, Berlin, both in Germany. June 27, 1930, No. 19647. Convention date, June 27, 1929. [Class 80 (i).] A V or flat belt, Fig. 3, is passed once around a pulley b<1>, three or more times around a pulley a<1>, and once less around an auxiliary pulley c<1>, which may or may not lie between the driving and driven pulleys a<1>, b<1>. As shown in Fig. 2, the intermediate pulley c, which has a single groove for cooperation with a pulley a having two grooves, i s additionally connected to the pulley a by a chain, belt, &c. drive h. The shaft of the pulley c may supply power and may be adjustable by sliding or rocking. The belt may be crossed. The functions of the three pulleys may be interchanged. For transmitting greater power, several such belt systems working in parallel may be used.
