361,660. Removable bodies for vehicles. BIRMINGHAM RAILWAY CARRIAGE & WAGON CO., Ltd. and HOLLOWAY, H. H., Smethwick, Staffordshire. Dec. 16, 1930, No. 37861. [Classes 103 (iv) and 108 (i).] Folding vehicles.-Cases or containers for the transport of goods on road and rail comprise a base to which the sides and ends may be hinged and a detachable top, and in which one or more of the members (base or walls), may be of hollow construction, the interlocking and other means being fitted within the hollow construction. Means are also provided whereby the container is watertight when erected. The container comprises a base 1, sides 3, 4, end walls 5, 6 and a removable top. Each member comprises inner and outer panels connected by spacing means which on the vertical and top edges of the side and end walls may comprise U-shape dparts such as 29, 31 or 37, 41 whereby the container is rendered watertight. The side and end walls are hinged to the base and are adapted to fold thereon. The hinges of the end walls are slidable so that the end and side walls 'may be disengaged before folding. The front end wall comprises a frame 14 within which are fitted three doors 15, 16, 17, the lower door 17 being hinged horizontally and the doors 15, 16 hinged vertically. The top is secured in position, by pins 48 passing through registering apertures and suspending means for the container is provided.
