Abstract

333,040. Ensor, C. A. July 24, 1929. Folding vehicles; caravans.-A trailer caravan which is of expanding construction is provided with a box-like side member or members hinged to the floor of the vehicle in such a manner as to be located inwardly and vertically thereover when the vehicle is closed and to be located horizontally at or near ground lever when the vehicle is opened out the side members being associated with hinged supplementary wall and roof members so as to provide side extension members. The caravan is provided with a raised floor a<1> to which on opposite sides are hinged box-like members which when in travelling position are vertical within the confines of the area of the raised floor and when extended lie horizontally at or near the ground. The box-like members are provided with lid portions b<1>, b<2> which when unfolded provide side walls for the extended caravan side flaps d and supplementary roof c are provided.
